Το απόγευμα της Τετάρτης, 22 Μαρτίου 2023, ο Παναγιώτατος Οικουμενικός Πατριάρχης Βαρθολομαίος, ύστερα από πρόσκληση του Ρωμαιοκαθολικού Αρχιεπισκόπου Βίλνιους, επισκέφθηκε το Ιερό Προσκύνημα της Παναγίας Οστρομπράμσκα, όπου φυλάσσεται και η ιστορική εικόνα.
Ακολούθως ο Πατριάρχης, με τη συνοδεία του, επισκέφθηκε το Αρχιεπισκοπικό Μέγαρο.
On Wednesday afternoon, March 22nd, 2023, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, following the invitation of H.E. the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Vilnius Gintaras GRUŠAS, visited the Gate of Down, where the Holy Shrine of Our Lady Ostrobramska is located.
Afterwards, the Patriarch, with his entourage, visited the Archbishop’s Palace.
Ιδιαίτερη συγκίνηση προκάλεσε στον Παναγιώτατο Οικουμενικό Πατριάρχη Βαρθολομαίο η επίσκεψή του στο παλαιό κτήριο της Κα Γκε Μπε, σήμερα μουσείο (Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights), στα υπόγεια του οποίου φυλακίστηκαν, βασανίστηκαν με φρικτές μεθόδους και εκτελέστηκαν Λιθουανοί πατριώτες και αντιφρονούντες.
Ο Οικουμενικός Πατριάρχης, τον οποίο συνόδευσε ο ΡΚαθολικός Αρχιεπίσκοπος Βίλνιους, προσευχήθηκε για την ανάπαυση των θυμάτων.
His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was particularly moved by his visit to the old building of KGB (currently Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights), in the basements of which Lithuanian patriots and dissidents were imprisoned, tortured with horrible methods and executed.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της παραμονής του στη Λιθουανία, ο Οικουμενικός Πατριάρχης επισκέφθηκε εθιμοτυπικὠς την Πρεσβεία της Τουρκικής Δημοκρατίας, όπου τον υποδέχθηκε ο Εξοχ. Πρέσβης κ. Görkem Barış Tantekin, και της Ελληνικής Δημοκρατίας, όπου τον υποδέχθηκε ο Εξοχ. Πρέσβης κ. Γρηγόριος Καραχάλιος, ο οποίος παρέθεσε δείπνο προς τιμήν του Παναγιωτάτου.
During his stay in Lithuania, the Ecumenical Patriarch paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, where he was received by His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Görkem Barış Tantekin, and to the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic, where he was received by His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Grigorios Karahalios, who hosted a dinner in honor of His All-Holiness.
