On Monday, January 16, 2022, an Archon delegation, led by His Eminence Metropolitan Emmanuel, Geron of Chalcedon, met with the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The delegation is in Athens for preparatory discussions on a future International Archon Religious Freedom Conference.
Στο Μέγαρο Μαξίμου μετέβη χθες, Δευτέρα 16 Ιανουαρίου 2023, αντιπροσωπεία του Τάγματος του Αγίου Ανδρέα των Αρχόντων του Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου στην Αμερική, η οποία βρίσκεται στην Αθήνα στο πλαίσιο σειράς επίσημων επαφών για ζητήματα που άπτονται του Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου.
Επικεφαλής της ομάδας που συναντήθηκε με τον Πρωθυπουργό, Κυριάκο Μητσοτάκη, ήταν ο Σεβασμιώτατος Μητροπολίτης Γέρων Χαλκηδόνος κ. Εμμανουήλ. Τα υπόλοιπα μέλη της αποστολής αποτελούσαν οι: Δρ. Αντώνιος Λυμπεράκης, Διοικητής του Τάγματος των Αρχόντων, Δικαστής Θεόδωρος Μποζονέλης Υποδιοικητής του Τάγματος, Πρωτοπρεσβύτερος του Οικουμενικού Θρόνου Αλέξανδρος Καρλούτσος, Πνευματικός Σύμβουλος του Τάγματος, Άρχων Τζον Μιντάλα και οι συνοδοί Ελένη Μποζονέλη και πρεσβυτέρα Ξάνθη Καρλούτσου.
Στο επίκεντρο της συζήτησης με τον Πρωθυπουργό βρέθηκαν ζητήματα θρησκευτικής ελευθερίας καθώς και η πρόθεση στο μέλλον να πραγματοποιηθεί συνέδριο που θα αφορά στο θέμα αυτό, καθώς η προάσπιση της θρησκευτικής ελευθερίας αποτελεί έναν τους βασικούς στόχους του Τάγματος των Αρχόντων.
Επίσης, τα μέλη της αντιπροσωπείας παρακάθισαν σε δείπνο που παρέθεσε προς τιμήν τους στην Πρεσβευτική Κατοικία ο Πρέσβης των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών Αμερικής, Τζωρτζ Τσούνης.
Ιδιαίτερη συνάντηση είχαν και τον Σεβ. Μητροπολίτη Λαοδικείας κ. Θεοδώρητο, Διευθυντή του Γραφείου Εκπροσωπήσεως του Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου στην Αθήνα.
