Υπογράφηκε πρωτόκολλο συνεργασίας μεταξύ του Ινστιτούτου Οικουμενικών Σπουδών του Ποντιφικού Πανεπιστημίου του Αγίου Θωμά της Ρώμης και του Μεταπτυχιακού Προγράμματος στην Ορθόδοξη Οικουμενική Θεολογία του Διεθνούς Ελληνικού Πανεπιστημίου, με σκοπό την ανάπτυξη της έρευνας στην οικουμενική θεολογία και την ακαδημαϊκή συνεργασία μεταξύ Ρωμαιοκαθολικής και Ορθόδοξης Εκκλησίας.
Ένα από τα πρώτα θέμα που θα εξεταστούν θα είναι οι επιπτώσεις της πανδημίας στις οικουμενικές σχέσεις.
Το Μεταπτυχιακό στην Ορθόδοξη Οικουμενική Θεολογία του Διεθνούς Ελληνικού Πανεπιστημίου, με την οργανωτική φροντίδα και επίβλεψη του ομ. καθηγητή Θεολογίας του ΑΠΘ Πέτρου Βασιλειάδη, δημιουργήθηκε με την ευλογία του Οικουμενικού Πατριάρχη Βαρθολομαίου.

On the eve of the Week of Prayer for the Unity of Christians, Rev. mo P. Michal Pa łuch OP, Rector of the Pontifical Saint Thomas Aquinas University (Angelicum) and Prof. Emer. Athanassios Kaissis, President of the International Hellenic University (IHU), signed a collaboration protocol between Angelicum’s Institute of Ecumenical Studies and IHU’s Master Program on Orthodox Ecumenical Theology, The aim of the protocol is to develop ecumenical theology research and Catholic-Orthodox academic collaboration, especially through seminars and workshops for teachers and students, study visits, academic conferences, doctoral and post-doctoral programs. A first project will focus on the impact of the pandemic on ecumenical relations.
The Master in Orthodox Ecumenical Theology (MOET) of the International Hellenic University, directed by Prof. Emer. Petros Vassiliadis, was organized under the mandate of His All-Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. Angelicum’s Institute of Ecumenical Studies under the patronage of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the Christian Unity, was inaugurated in 2019 by His Eminence Cardinal Kurt Koch.
