Leurs trait\u00e9s th\u00e9ologiques sur les sacrements<br>ou myst\u00e8res de l\u2019\u00c9glise eurent un impact d\u00e9terminant sur leur post\u00e9rit\u00e9, si<br>bien que l\u2019on peut les consid\u00e9rer comme de dignes porte-parole de la th\u00e9ologie<br>sacramentaire byzantine. Leur grande \u00e9rudition appara\u00eet notamment dans leur<br>connaissance de l\u2019oeuvre de Thomas d\u2019Aquin (1225-1274), traduite en grec \u00e0<br>leur \u00e9poque par les fr\u00e8res D\u00e9m\u00e9trios et Prochoros Kydon\u00e8s, avec laquelle ils sont<br>entr\u00e9s indirectement en dialogue. En ce sens, leurs \u00e9crits, qui ne manquent pas<br>d\u2019actualit\u00e9, s\u2019av\u00e8rent utiles au d\u00e9bat oecum\u00e9nique contemporain.<br>La pr\u00e9sente \u00e9tude tente de faire dialoguer Nicolas Cabasilas et Sym\u00e9on de<br>Thessalonique avec le Docteur Ang\u00e9lique sur les myst\u00e8res, le nombre de sacrements, l\u2019initiation chr\u00e9tienne, la th\u00e9ologie eucharistique, le sacerdoce et la th\u00e9ologie de la gr\u00e2ce afin de montrer \u00e0 la fois la convergence et l\u2019incommensurabilit\u00e9 des deux syst\u00e8mes th\u00e9ologiques, latin et byzantin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Job Getcha, archev\u00eaque de Telmessos, est le repr\u00e9sentant permanent du Patriarcat oecum\u00e9nique de Constantinople aupr\u00e8s du Conseil oecum\u00e9nique des \u00c9glises a\u2002 Gen\u00e8ve, le co-pr\u00e9sident de la Commission mixte internationale pour le dialogue th\u00e9ologique entre l\u2019\u00c9glise catholique romaine et l\u2019\u00c9glise orthodoxe.
