class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esteemed brethren and beloved children in the Lord,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Feast of the Indiction, the solemn day of prayers for the natural environment, finds once again humanity confronted with intense weather conditions due to mounting climate change, with devastating floods and fires across the globe, as well as with the Coronavirus pandemic and its socioeconomic consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fact that the restrictive measures in transportation and the limits imposed on industrial production have resulted in a reduction of pollutants and emissions, offered an additional valuable lesson on global interconnection and on the interdependence of all dimensions of life. Moreover, it has been also revealed anew that the Ecumenical Patriarchate\u2019s ecological initiatives, which comprise an extension of the Church\u2019s theology and liturgical tradition, correspond with scientific findings and with experts\u2019 recommendations calling for multifaceted mobilization in order to protect the integrity of the natural environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We thus pray for the swift overcoming of the consequences of the health crisis and for the illumination from above of governments throughout the world, so that they do not return to or persist upon economism, to those principles of organization of the economic life, of production and consumption, of exhaustive exploitation of natural resources, principles that prevailed prior to the pandemic. Further, it is our genuine desire that the dissemination of pseudoscientific opinions concerning the purported dangers of the Covid-19 vaccines, the slander aimed toward specialists of the medical field, and the unfounded degradation of the seriousness of the disease, be terminated. Unfortunately, similar opinions are propagated in regard to climate change as well, its cause and its disastrous effects. The reality is entirely different, and must be faced with responsibility, collaboration, joint actions, and common vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inactivity is inconceivable when in full knowledge of the shared great contemporary challenges of humanity. Indifference toward our suffering brethren and toward the destruction of the \u201cvery good\u201d creation, is an offence against God and a violation of His commandments. Wherein exist respect toward creation and tangible love toward man, the \u201cbeloved of God,\u201d therein God is present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the Holy and Great Council (Crete, 2016), the Ecumenical Patriarchate, in accordance to its spirit and decisions, appointed an official commission, comprised of theologians, to draft a document on the social implications of our faith and on the social mission and witness of the Orthodox Church in the contemporary world. This text, which was approved for publication by the Holy and Sacred Synod and is entitled For the Life of the World: Toward a Social Ethos of the Orthodox Church, states the following: \u201cThe Church encourages the faithful to be grateful for\u2014and to accept\u2014the findings of the sciences, even those that might occasionally oblige them to revise their understandings of the history and frame of cosmic reality. The desire for scientific knowledge flows from the same wellspring as faith\u2019s longing to enter ever more deeply into the mystery of God\u201d (\u00a7 71).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Holy Great Church of Christ emphatically highlights the indivisibility of the natural environment\u2019s protection and the philanthropic care for one\u2019s neighbor. Both an eco-friendly stance and the recognition of the sacredness of the human person are a \u201cliturgy after the Liturgy,\u201d vital dimensions of the Eucharistic actualization of the Church. The life of the Church is a manifest respect for creation, as well as the place and the way of experiencing the culture of personhood and of solidarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most honorable brothers and cherished children,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout this difficult period, it is an essential pastoral duty of the Church to undertake initiatives for the containment of the pandemic. And it is also a categorical ethical mandate to support global access to the immunization against the coronavirus, especially in poorer nations, in accordance with the words of our Lord, \u201cInasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me\u201d (Matt. 25:40). We ought to love one another \u201cas Christ has loved us\u201d (Eph. 5:2) and to show ourselves as \u201cpriests\u201d of creation, safeguarding and cultivating it with care and affection, and, offering in thanksgiving this exceedingly precious gift of God\u2019s Grace unto the Creator of all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In closing, we wholeheartedly wish unto all a blessed, healthful and fruitful new ecclesiastical year, and we call upon you, through the intercessions of the Theotokos Pammakaristos, the grace and mercy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to Whom be the glory and the dominion unto the everlasting ages. Ce fait a aussi r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 \u00e0 nouveau que les initiatives \u00e9cologiques du Patriarcat \u0152cum\u00e9nique \u2013 corollaire de la th\u00e9ologie et de la tradition liturgique de l\u2019\u00c9glise \u2013 vont de pair avec les constats de la science et l\u2019appel \u00e0 la mobilisation que les sp\u00e9cialistes lancent aux acteurs sociaux et \u00e9conomiques pour prot\u00e9ger l\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 de l\u2019environnement naturel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nous prions pour que les cons\u00e9quences de la crise sanitaire soient rapidement jugul\u00e9es, pour que les gouvernants \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelon international re\u00e7oivent l\u2019\u00e9clairage divin pour ne plus revenir ou insister sur ce qui pr\u00e9valait avant la pand\u00e9mie : l\u2019\u00e9conomisme, les principes d\u2019organisation de la vie \u00e9conomique, de production et de consommation, et d\u2019exploitation \u00e9puisant les ressources naturelles. Notre souhait sinc\u00e8re c\u2019est que l\u2019on cesse de divulguer des avis pseudo-scientifiques sur le risque pr\u00e9tendu des vaccins contre le Covid-19, de d\u00e9nigrer les sp\u00e9cialistes et de sous-estimer inconsid\u00e9r\u00e9ment la gravit\u00e9 de la maladie. Malheureusement, des th\u00e8ses semblables sont aussi propag\u00e9es concernant le changement climatique, ses causes et ses cons\u00e9quences d\u00e9sastreuses. La r\u00e9alit\u00e9 est totalement diff\u00e9rente et pour y faire face, il faut faire preuve du sens de responsabilit\u00e9, r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir et agir ensemble, partager une vision d\u2019avenir commune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019inaction est inconcevable alors que l\u2019on a parfaitement conscience des grands d\u00e9fis qui interpellent l\u2019humanit\u00e9. Rester indiff\u00e9rents \u00e0 la souffrance du prochain et \u00e0 la destruction de la cr\u00e9ation \u00ab tr\u00e8s bonne \u00bb c\u2019est offenser Dieu et violer ses commandements. Dieu est pr\u00e9sent l\u00e0 o\u00f9 il y a respect envers la cr\u00e9ation et amour traduit en acte envers son \u00ab bien-aim\u00e9 \u00bb, l\u2019\u00eatre humain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 l\u2019issue du saint et grand Concile (Cr\u00e8te, 2016), conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 son esprit et \u00e0 ses d\u00e9cisions, le Patriarcat \u0152cum\u00e9nique a cr\u00e9\u00e9 un comit\u00e9 officiel de th\u00e9ologiens mandat\u00e9s pour \u00e9laborer un document sur les cons\u00e9quences sociales de notre foi, et sur la mission et le t\u00e9moignage de l\u2019\u00c9glise orthodoxe dans le monde contemporain. Dans ce texte dont la publication a \u00e9t\u00e9 approuv\u00e9e par notre saint-synode et qui est intitul\u00e9 Pour la vie du monde. Vers un ethos social be l\u2019\u00c9glise orthodoxe, on note pertinemment ce qui suit : \u00ab L\u2019\u00c9glise encourage les croyants \u00e0 \u00eatre reconnaissants envers les d\u00e9couvertes scientifiques et \u00e0 accepter m\u00eame celles qui pourraient les obliger \u00e0 revoir leurs id\u00e9es sur l\u2019histoire et sur le contexte de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 s\u00e9culi\u00e8re. L\u2019aspiration \u00e0 la connaissance scientifique puise dans la m\u00eame source que l\u2019ardent d\u00e9sir de la foi de p\u00e9n\u00e9trer davantage le myst\u00e8re de Dieu \u00bb (\u00a7 71).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La sainte Grande \u00c9glise du Christ tient \u00e0 souligner que la protection de l\u2019environnement naturel est ins\u00e9parable de la sollicitude envers le prochain. Aussi bien le comportement \u00e9cologique que la reconnaissance du caract\u00e8re sacr\u00e9 de la personne humaine sont une \u00ab liturgie apr\u00e8s la Liturgie \u00bb, des dimensions vitales de la r\u00e9alisation eucharistique de l\u2019\u00c9glise. La vie de l\u2019\u00c9glise c\u2019est le respect r\u00e9el envers la cr\u00e9ation, c\u2019est la fa\u00e7on, le lieu o\u00f9 s\u2019\u00e9panouit la culture de la personne et de la solidarit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Honorables fr\u00e8res et enfants bien-aim\u00e9s dans le Seigneur,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans la p\u00e9riode difficile que nous traversons, l\u2019\u00c9glise a le devoir pastoral fondamental de prendre des initiatives pour juguler la pand\u00e9mie. Pour elle c\u2019est un imp\u00e9ratif moral cat\u00e9gorique de soutenir l\u2019acc\u00e8s g\u00e9n\u00e9ral \u00e0 la vaccination contre le coronavirus avant tout aux peuples les plus pauvres, conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 la parole du Seigneur \u00ab toutes les fois que vous l\u2019avez fait \u00e0 l\u2019un de ces plus petits de mes fr\u00e8res, c\u2019est \u00e0 moi que vous l\u2019avez fait (Mt 25, 40). Ancora di nuovo si \u00e8 rivelato il fatto che le iniziative ecologiche del Patriarcato Ecumenico, le quali costituiscono una estensione della teologia e della tradizione liturgica della Chiesa, camminano insieme con le constatazioni della scienza e la esortazione da parte degli esperti di una mobilitazione multilaterale per la protezione della integrit\u00e0 dell\u2019ambiente naturale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Preghiamo per il veloce superamento delle conseguenze della crisi sanitaria e per la illuminazione dall\u2019alto dei governanti di tutto il mondo, perch\u00e9 non ritornino o persistano nell\u2019economismo, in quei principi di organizzazione della vita economica, di produzione e di consumo e di sfruttamento estenuante delle risorse naturali che erano in vigore prima della pandemia. Augurio sincero della nostra Modestia \u00e8 anche la fine della divulgazione di pareri pseudoscientifici sulla pretesa pericolosit\u00e0 dei vaccini contro il coronavirus Covid-19, della diffamazione degli esperti e della sottovalutazione non equilibrata della gravit\u00e0 della malattia. Purtroppo, simili tesi si diffondono anche riguardo al cambiamento climatico, alle cause e alle sue conseguenze funeste. La realt\u00e0 \u00e8 completamente diversa, davanti alla quale si richiede senso di responsabilit\u00e0, collaborazione, cooperazione ed un sogno comune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c8 inconcepibile essere inerti, consapevoli delle grandi sfide comuni attuali per il genere umano. La indifferenza per i nostri simili che soffrono e per la distruzione della creazione \u201cassai bella\u201d, \u00e8 un oltraggio a Dio e inosservanza dei suoi comandamenti. Dove c\u2019\u00e8 rispetto verso il creato e amore tangibile verso l\u2019uomo \u201camato da Dio\u201d, l\u00ec \u00e8 presente Dio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dopo il Santo e Grande Concilio (Creta 2016), il Patriarcato Ecumenico, in accordo con il suo spirito e le sue decisioni, ha designato una commissione ufficiale di teologi per preparare un testo sulle conseguenze sociali della nostra fede e sulla missione sociale e la testimonianza della Chiesa Ortodossa nel mondo contemporaneo. In questo testo, approvato dal nostro Santo e Sacro Sinodo per essere pubblicato, che porta il titolo \u201cPer la vita del mondo. Verso un ethos sociale della Chiesa Ortodossa\u201d, viene sottolineato opportunamente quanto segue: \u201cE la Chiesa incoraggia i fedeli ad essere grati e ad accettare le scoperte delle scienze, anche quelle che potrebbero occasionalmente obbligarli a rivedere la loro comprensione della storia e nell\u2019ambito della realt\u00e0 cosmica. Il desiderio della conoscenza scientifica scaturisce dalla stessa sorgente del desiderio della fede, di entrare sempre pi\u00f9 profondamente nel mistero di Dio.\u201d (\u00a7 71)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Santa e Grande Chiesa di Cristo promuove con enfasi l\u2019indivisibilit\u00e0 della protezione dell\u2019ambiente naturale e la assistenza filantropica per il prossimo. Tanto il comportamento amichevole per l\u2019ambiente, quanto pure il riconoscimento della sacralit\u00e0 della persona umana, sono una \u201cliturgia dopo la liturgia\u201d, dimensioni vitali della realt\u00e0 eucaristica della Chiesa. La vita della Chiesa \u00e8 rispetto tangibile del creato e luogo e modo della cultura della persona e della solidariet\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Onoratissimi fratelli e figli amatissimi,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In questo difficile periodo, l\u2019assunzione di iniziative per la delimitazione della pandemia costituisce un dovere pastorale fondamentale per la Chiesa. Una ingiunzione etica categorica \u00e8 pure il sostenere l\u2019accesso generale alla vaccinazione contro il coronavirus, prima di tutto per i popoli pi\u00f9 poveri, secondo la parola del Signore: \u201ctutto quello che avete fatto a uno solo di questi miei fratelli pi\u00f9 piccoli, l&#8217;avete fatto a me\u201d (Mt. 25,40). Dobbiamo amarci l\u2019un l\u2019altro \u201cnel modo in cui anche Cristo ci ha amato\u201d (Ef. 5,2) e dobbiamo distinguerci come \u201csacerdoti\u201d della creazione, proteggendola e curandola con diligenza e affetto, riportando questo dono preziosissimo della Grazia Divina come ringraziamento al Creatore di ogni cosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Concludendo, auguriamo di tutto cuore a tutti voi un nuovo anno ecclesiastico benedetto, sano, con buoni frutti e invochiamo su di voi, con la mediazione della Vergine Pammacharistos, la grazia e la misericordia del Signore e Salvatore nostro Ges\u00f9 Cristo, a Lui sia la gloria e la potenza nei secoli infiniti. Din nefericire, opinii similare sunt propagate \u0219i \u00een ceea ce prive\u0219te schimbarea climatic\u0103, cauzele \u0219i efectele ei dezastroase. Realitatea este complet diferit\u0103 \u0219i trebuie confruntat\u0103 cu responsabilitate, colaborare, ac\u021biuni binevoitoare \u0219i viziune comun\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este imposibil s\u0103 nu ne implic\u0103m, cunosc\u00e2nd marile provoc\u0103ri contemporane comune \u00eentregului neam omenesc.
