Environmental Studies (CEMES) continues to play a leading role in advancing peaceful and harmonious coexistence among peoples and in safeguarding places of worship across Europe. Following the success of the PROSECUW (Protection and Security for Places of Worship) project,(2021) CEMES now participates in a new European initiative, the VIRTUOUS Project (Vulnerability, Risk Assessment Tools and Training Exercises for the Active Protection of Religious Buildings). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VIRTUOUS aims to strengthen cooperation between religious communities, public authorities, and research institutions, introducing innovative technological approaches for the protection, preparedness, and resilience of religious sites.
