On 8th June 2025, Sunday of Pentecost, with the blessing and patronage of His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain, Christian Orthodox Thyateira Youth (COTY) hosted their 3rd Annual Pentecost Picnic Hyde Park, following the celebration of the Divine Liturgy by His Grace Bishop Iakovos of Claudiopolis at the historic Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Divine Wisdom in Baywsater. The lively diverse group of Young Adults enjoyed a complimentary catered picnic, field games, fellowship and fun until the evening. Participants from London-area Orthodox parishes (all canonical jurisdictions), as well as from various parts of the United Kingdom, enriched the celebrations and highlighted the strength of Orthodoxy unity in London.
During the Picnic, the V. Rev. Archimandrite Nephon Tsimalis, Protosyncellus and Dean of the Cathedral of Divine Wisdom conveyed the Archbishop’s congratulations and blessings to the COTY Coordinators, as well as his festal wishes to the young adults present. Once again, the Holy Archdiocese rejoices in the success of the event.
