Ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος Νικήτας στο Hatfield για την εορτή των Αγίων Αποστόλων
Τον πανηγυρίζοντα Ιερό Ναό των Αγίων Δώδεκα Αποστόλων στο Hatfield επισκέφτηκε ο Σεβασμιώτατος Αρχιεπίσκοπος Θυατείρων και Μεγάλης Βρεταννίας κ. Νικήτας την Παρασκευή 30 Ιουνίου 2023, όπου και προέστη της Θείας Λειτουργίας.
Συλλειτούργησαν o Θεοφιλέστος Επίσκοπος Κλαυδιουπόλεως κ. Ιάκωβος, ο Ιερατικώς Προιστάμενος Πρωτοπρεσβύτερος κ. Ιωσήφ Παλιούρας, ο Οικονόμος Πρεσβύτερος π. Δημητριανός Μελέκης, ο Πρεσβύτερος π. Νικόδημος Αγγελή και ο Αρχιδιάκονος Δρ. Γεώργιος Τσουρούς.
Στο τέλος της Θ. Λειτουργίας ο Σεβασμιώτατος κήρυξε το Θείο Λόγο παρουσία του Γενικού Πρόξενου της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας των τοπικών δημοτικών και κοινοτικών αρχών.
Μετά το πέρας της Θ. Λειτουργίας, η κοινότητα παρέθεσε εορταστικό γεύμα στον περίβολο του Ι. Ναού.
Archbishop Nikitas visits Hatfield for the Feast of the Twelve Apostles
On Friday 30 June 2023, His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain presided at the Matins and celebrated the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom at the Church of Twelve of Apostles in Hatfield, Greater London. His Grace Iakovos, Bishop of Claudiopolis, The Priest-in-charge Revd Protopresbyter Joseph Paliouras, the Rev. Oeconomos Dimitrianos Melekis, the Rev Nikodemos Aggeli and the Rev. Archdeacon Dr. George Tsourous served with The Archbishop.
As the Service drew to a close, Archbishop Nikitas extended his heartfelt greetings to the devout congregants. Notable attendees included the Hon. Odyseas Odyseou, Consul General of the Republic of Cyprus, along with other members of the Local Council authorities. The Archbishop’s blessings were filled with wishes for health, spiritual prosperity, peace, and longevity to all present; particularly highlighting his prayers for the faithful of the United Kingdom.The truly joyous day concluded with a hospitable reception hosted by the Community.
Ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος Νικήτας στην Κοινότητα Αγ. Πέτρου και Παύλου στο Bristol
Τον πανηγυρίζοντα Ιερό Ναό των Αποστόλων Πέτρου και Παύλου στο Bristol επισκέφτηκε ο Σεβασμιώτατος Αρχιεπίσκοπος Θυατείρων και Μεγάλης Βρεταννίας κ. Νικήτας την Κυριακή 2 Ιουλίου 2023, όπου και προέστη του όρθρου και της Θείας Λειτουργίας.
Συλλειτούργησαν o Πρωτοπρεσβύτερος κ. Γεώργιος Νικολάου, ο Ιερατικώς Προιστάμενος Πρωτοπρεσβύτερος κ. Αναστάσιος Σαλαπάτας και διακόνησε ο Αρχιδιάκονος Δρ. Γεώργιος Τσουρούς.
Στο τέλος της Θ. Λειτουργίας ο Σεβασμιώτατος κήρυξε το Θείο Λόγο παρουσία του Πρόξενου της Ελληνικής Δημοκρατίας κ. Χρήστου Γούλα, και του Γενικού Πρόξενου της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας, κ. Οδυσσέα Οδυσσέως και των τοπικών δημοτικών και κοινοτικών αρχών του Bristol, Lord Lieutenant Mrs. Peaches Golding και High Sheriff Mrs. Sharon Foster οι οποίοι επίσης χαιρέτησαν τον Σεβασμιώτατο και την Κοινότητα.
Μετά το πέρας της Θ. Λειτουργίας, η Κοινότητα παρέθεσε πλούσιο εορταστικό γεύμα στον περίβολο του Ι. Ναού ενώ ταυτόχρονα πραγματοποιήθηκε και η Εορτή Λήξης της σχολικής χρονιάς του Ελληνικού Σχολείου του Bristol που συμπεριέλαβε πρόγραμμα με θεατρικά σκετς και ελληνικούς χορούς από τους μαθητές του Δημοτικού και την απονομή των μαθητικών βραβείων για το τέλος της σχολικής χρονιάς.
Archbishop Nikitas visits the Parish of Ss Peter & Paul in Bristol
On Sunday, the 2nd of July 2023, His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain presided over Matins and celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the parish of Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles in Bristol. Serving alongside the Archbishop were Rev. Protopresbyter Georgios Nikolaou, Rev. Protopresbyter Anastasios Salapatas, Priest-in-Charge, and Archdeacon George Tsourous.
This day was of particular significance as it also marked the annual patronal feast of the community. Honouring the event with their esteemed presence were various dignitaries, including Lord Lieutenant Mrs. Peaches Golding, High Sheriff Mrs. Sharon Foster, Mr. Christos Goulas, the Consul General of the Hellenic Republic, and Mr. Odysseas Odysseos, the Consul General of the Republic of Cyprus. Their participation added a layer of profound respect to the festivities.
Following the service, a program rich in community spirit and celebration unfolded. It commenced with thoughtful speeches from the dignitaries, each bringing their own perspectives and words of encouragement for the congregation. The community then shifted their attention to the end-of-year School Celebration, a heartwarming event that showcased small plays by the children, dancing, and the presentation of awards to mark the conclusion of the school year. These joyful expressions of talent and accomplishment by the young members of the community were truly a delight to witness.
Capping off the day’s events was a lavish buffet meal on the Church Grounds, generously available to all. The shared meal served not just as a feast but as a testament to the unity and fellowship that are the cornerstones of the community. The day was indeed a joyous celebration of faith, community spirit, and shared purpose under the guidance of His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain.
Η πανήγυρις των Αγίων Αποστόλων στο Leyland
Πανηγυρικά εορτάσθηκε η Σύναξη των Αγίων Δώδεκα Αποστόλων στον ομώνυμο Ι. Ναό του Leyland στην περιφέρεια του Preston της Βόρειας Αγγλίας.
Της πανηγύρεως προέστη ο Θεοφιλέστατος Επίσκοπος Μελιτηνής κ. Μάξιμος, πλαισιούμενος από τον ιερατικώς Προϊστάμενο του Ι. Ναού, Πρεσβύτερο κ. Διονύσιο Ιάκωβο Higgs και τον Πρεσβύτερο κ. David Walker.
Ο Θεοφιλέστατος χειροθέτησε δύο νέους Αναγνώστες και μετέφερε στο εκκλησίασμα τις ευχές του Σεβ. Αρχιεπισκόπου Θυατείρων και Μεγάλης Βρεταννίας κ. Νικήτα.
Ακολούθησε εορταστικό γεύμα στην αίθουσα του Ναού.
The Feast of the Holy Apostles in Leyland
The Synaxis of the Holy Twelve Apostles was festively celebrated in the homonymous Church of Leyland in the Preston region.
His Grace Bishop Maximos of Melitene presided over the Feast, accompanied by the Priest-in-Charge, Presbyter Dionysios-Iakovos Higgs, and Presbyter David Walker.
His Grace blessed two new Readers and conveyed to the congregation the wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain.
A festive meal followed in the hall of the Church.
